Hello! Long time no write? Right?
In case you couldn't tell, this is Mya. :D
I haven't been blogging that often lately because, well for one thing, I've been busy.
Secondly, I have started school again.
Thirdly, I have been writing five brand new novels that I began writing once I got my laptop.
And fourthly, I have been reading on Christianbook.com! And yes, it is the awful truth that you can only read little excerpts of the books, but I am making my Christmas list early, and well, it's also really fun to read the beginning of the suspense and romance novels on there! Not that I'd recommend all of them, but they have inspired me several times to write!
There's always something about a book I don't like, they put in too much detail about the scenery, they go too deep into how people look and what clothes they wear, they drag the story along that I end up skipping over paragraphs to get to the good stuff. Or worse, I skip to the end!!! So all this combined has got me to writing books that I would like to read.
So, I 'm basically creating a book for each genre I like.
I have started a teen fantasy book, about a boy from another world. His name is Kylo. His world has been overtaken by people of another world (not ours), and even though the Heekos' (the name of the people in Kylo's world) are born with certain powers, and technically have an edge on their enemies, they have allowed themselves to be enslaved! A girl from our world is of course thrown into the mix. What happens? Well, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until I finish it!
I'm also writing a tween book, about a girl named Alabama Sweet, (accidentally inspired when I saw the title of the TV show ((that I haven't seen BTW)) called Sweet Home Alabama) she goes to school, and lives a normal life. Then one day a neighbor gives her a scrawny little puppy. She of course adopts the poor pup in a heartbeat, but life quickly turns upside down as the little puppy grows up to be the size of a small horse!
I'm writing a Jane Eyre-ish sort of book, about an orphan girl who becomes a nanny of a famous Hollywood celebrity's two sons!!! He is tall, blonde and handsome! Totally cheesy, right? =D
Oh, and also my Max the Min Pin book! which isn't finished, and I'm trying to work diligently on it!
I just started a book about a detective (thanks to my excerpt reading ;D), and he is sent undercover to find out if these ranchers are mixed up in a diabolical terrorist plot to destroy America! Or something like that, I just started on it, so there's a few kinks in there I need to figure out. =D Maybe it'll be that they are illegally (duh) giving over weapons to Iraq! Or worse! IDK!
